Summary Points

  • v 1 to 8 One man from each tribe takes a stone from the river Jordan. They use them to build a memorial to remind them that God has enabled them to cross the Jordan
  • v 9 to 18 Joshua sets up twelve more stones in the Jordan where the priests stood. When all the people have crossed over, the priests carrying the ark of the covenant come up out of the Jordan. The waters then flow again as before
