Summary Points

  • v 1 to 14 After Pharaoh ignores the threat, frogs come up when Aaron streches out his rod over the water in Egypt. The Egyptian magicians are also able to bring frogs up. The LORD removes the plague at Moses' request when Pharaoh agrees to let the people go
  • 15 to 19 Pharaoh changes his mind again when he has respite. The LORD sends a plague of lice. The Egyptian magicians are unable to copy the plague and tell Pharaoh "this is God's finger". But Pharaoh still refuses to let the Israelites go
  • v 20 to 24 Pharaoh is threatened with swarms of flies throughout Egypt except in Goshen where the Israelites are. This will be evidence that the Israelites' God is LORD on the earth
  • v 25 to 32 Moses refuses Pharaoh's suggestion that they sacrifice to God in Egypt. Pharaoh then says he will let them go if they don't go very far. Moses prays to the LORD and when the swarms of flies are removed, Pharaoh changes his mind again
