Introduction
God promises Israel a time of blessing and respect from the nations.
Questions
1. What will the LORD do to Israel because darkness covers the earth?
v 2 and 3 For, behold, darkness will cover the earth,
and thick darkness the peoples;
but the LORD will arise on you,
and his glory shall be seen on you.
Nations will come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your rising.
2. What will happen to any nation that refuses to serve God?
v 12 For that nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; yes, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
3. What will God do for Zion despite it being forsaken and hated?
v 15 “Whereas you have been forsaken and hated,
so that no one passed through you,
I will make you an eternal excellency,
a joy of many generations.
