Psalm 13

Chapter text (World English Bible version)
This Psalm of David shows his trust in God despite his current problems.
How long, LORD?
Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
What does the psalmist ask God about how long He will forget him?
How long shall I take counsel in my soul,
having sorrow in my heart every day?
How long shall my enemy triumph over me?
How does the psalmist describe his inner struggle and sorrow?
Behold, and answer me, LORD, my God.
Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep in death;
lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed against him;”
lest my adversaries rejoice when I fall.
What does the psalmist ask God to do so his enemy will not overcome him?
But I trust in your loving kindness.
My heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing to the LORD,
because he has been good to me.
What does the psalmist say about trusting in God’s love and salvation?
